Memorial Day on Labor Day Cruise-In - September 4, 2021

The Labor Day Saturday “Memorial Day on Labor Day” cruise-in at Mission BBQ was a third attempt, after rainouts on Memorial Day and in August. The beautiful weather made up for it as 49 cars packed the parking lot for an evening of vintage autos, food, music and a tribute to the veterans. Mission BBQ generously gave out free sandwiches to all the cruiser veterans, as well as free drinks for everyone who had dinner. After the National Anthem, 85-year old Korean War veteran Gerald Buckner performed the “Ceremony of the Fallen Soldier”, followed by a musical program of soldier/veteran/war related oldies music.
