Polar Bear Run 21 - January 25, 2020

The 21st Polar Bear Run began at the launch pointTaco Bell in Petersburg. There was heavy rain the night before and early morning but a bunch of people still turned out for the mystery run. If you didn't go because of the weather consider this - a 1949 Chevy came from West Virginia and an early Corvair coupe came from Maryland. From the Taco Bell we took 301 South to Emporia where we stopped for a break at Simmons Travel Center. Then we took 301 into North Carolina and to Weldon. There we visited an old cotton mill by the Roanoke River called Riverside Mill. This is a huge antique mall with arts, crafts, furniture and more. After shopping we headed to Ralph's BBQ for a buffet lunch. This place has been open for over 70 years and has great food. Don't miss the next PBR.
