Polar Bear Run 23 January 20, 2024

We left just after the sun came up on a morning in the low 20s - it was the Polar Bear Run - and headed to the home/fire museum of Tom Herman. There was coffee, donut holes, cookies and of course plenty of fire equipment including large fire engines in a big barn. Inside the house is a museum of all kinds of fire equipment and memorabilia. After the tour the group left and went to the Chula Vista flea market for a stop and quick look. We then headed to Burkeville to tour Love's Customs - a shop that builds custom vehicles. Next door was the Watts collection of vehicles in a field next to a building. Lots of rust to see. Finally the group headed to Farmville to eat at the Fishin Pig restaurant.
