The Stray Cats Rod and Custom Show at the 29th Littleton-Lake Gaston Festival was held on August 31st. There were over 150 interesting vehicles at the event. The Stray Cats has been appearing at the Festival since 1994 when they first organized and the Festival was called Littleton Downtown Turnaround. Currently the Stray Cats has over 60 members including spouses, with their main interest in vehicles manufactured before 1980. Cars must be at least 30 years old to be in the club or attend the car show. Dash plaques were given to the first 150 entrants, and goodie bags until they ran out. There was a $100 cash drawing for preregistration and there were over 50 Top Awards along with Door prizes. Stray Cats Hot Rod Association is a nonprofit organization that donates to area charities. Each year at the car show they collect money for a needy child or organization in the community. Over the years they have raised thousands of dollars for various charities.
